Dear friends of our vineyard,

very good news reached us already a few days ago from Neustadt on the Wine Route - and then on 07/03/2014 I was a very important award in the German wine world to accept. In the competition "Best of Riesling 2014" We have a first place in the category "fruity & sweet" won. The largest Riesling competition in the world was under the auspices of the Rhineland-Palatinate winegrowing Ministry. An international jury selected the winners of 1574 Riesling wines.

Winning wine was a 2010 Winninger Uhlen Riesling Reserve, a wine with 30 grams of residual sugar. Actually, this wine should be vinified dry. Spontaneous fermentation, the wine life of its own, however, he developed and preferred to have a say in his career. After almost 3 years of aging on the lees, which we also call reserve, the wine was still not dry. For the wine on the palate is crystal clear and very attractive - and just a bit sweet. He comes from our location Uhlen, one of the best vineyards in Germany. A centerpiece of this situation for decades has been the qualitative focus of our winery.

The wine expert Michael Hornickel from Meininger Verlag describes the wine as follows: unmistakable Mosel minerality with the typically exciting game between clear fruit, mysterious yellow herb seasoning and cool-schistose forth; everything crystal clear and highly attractive.

We have our 2012er 2013er Premium wines and the estate wines bottled, which are available now.

We are waiting for your order.

best regards
