Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir, known in Germany as Pinot Noir, is one of the finest red grape varieties. It thrives in northerly regions, where it ripens slowly and gently. It is also highly sensitive, producing outstanding wines only with low yields and careful winemaking. As ripening begins, we therefore remove a substantial proportion of the bunches so that the remaining grapes can mature fully. Exceptional Pinot Noir requires a willingness to put quality before quantity.
